Many Apologies and No Regrets

I have been neglecting this blog lately and part of that is because I have been putting a lot of effort into the Pangea Photo Blog and shooting a new project for that. A lot of the pictures I have been shooting here in New Orleans have been more geared toward fulfilling the vision of a client and I would not be particularly happy putting them on the internet. I am going to start posting on here again soon but I think it will be less of the picture by picture posts that I used to make and more posts about pictures and story-telling. Until then, please enjoy the Pangea Photo Blog. http://www.pangeaphoto.com

Fashion in New Orleans

I have been enjoying the idea of playing with fashion photography and these are my first pictures from a shoot that Philip Andrews and I did in New Orleans.

West Virginia

Before the G-20 I made a trip with the Andrews family to photograph the part of West Virginia where the family once lived so that they could produce a multimedia piece about their family history.

G-20 Protests with Pangea

I covered the G-20 protests with Philip Andrews, Celia Talbot Tobin and Danny Ghitis and our group edit is the first post for the "Pangea" blog we are starting. The other two photographers who are going to be contributing to the blog are Tim Hussin and Noah Rabinowitz. These are a few photos that I took during the convention. You can see the group edit at www.pangeaphoto.com

Moments from the West Coast

I am editing pictures from Liza and Willie's wedding that I shot about two weeks ago and these are a few pictures that I liked because I felt like they all conveyed a strong emotion without being too sensational in their composition or technical quality they were simply documents of a place in time and the people who so beautifully occupied it.

And one day, I want to look at comfortable as those two people at the picnic table.

Reading Neruda in Bowling Green

I stopped in Bowling Green when I went to Nashville to pick up the film from Liza and Willie's wedding. I stayed in Bowling Green for the night and wound up reading "Twenty Love Poems and a Song of Despair" by Pablo Neruda with two other friends in a dark house. If any of you have not read this book I would say that you should.
